Silver's (our club's Rotary Youth Exchange Inbound student) parents (Jaan and Katrin) are arriving this week and will be staying in Canada for about a week! Annette Muellejans, Silver's host mom, has graciously agreed to host a drop-in get-together at her house on Sunday, April 19, 4-7 pm so we can meet them and get to know them a bit before they jet off to see some of the beauty that Canada has to offer! This is a casual get-together, so you can leave your suit and tie at home, and come prepared to meet some lovely people and chat with your fellow club and community members. Please invite/bring your spouse and/or children, if they would also like to come! We're asking that each person bring a small snack or something to munch on, and BYOB. There will be some drinks provided. We looking forward to seeing you on Sunday! |

We have been coordinating this project with the Town of Strathroy-Caradoc and Firefield Landscape Supply, and we now have a date! We will be planting ~15 trees on Saturday, May 9, at Victoria Park in Strathroy.
We will have a short planting demonstration at 9:30 am, to show what is required for properly planting these trees to give them the best chance at surviving. We have an expert, Steve Shaw, retired from the St. Clair Region Conservation Authority. Then, we get planting! MyFM will also be on site for publicity! |

Hello Rotarians
Let's end this Rotary year with a bang! Literally. There has been a murder at Dead Man's Saloon and Deputy Drinkwater is dead!! . Whodunit??? Perhaps it was Patty Petticoat or Shott O' Whiskey. I wouldn't rule out Nugguet McRush or Calamity Jill either! Dust off your best cowboy garb and join us as we attempt to solve the murder. Each participant will be assigned a character, or a supporting character if you prefer, and the social committee will guide you through the clues and the evidence in order for you to make your guess as to the identity of the murderer. The venue for this event will be at Dead Man's Saloon (also known as the Twin Elms event room). We will gather at high noon (or 6pm Strathroy time). The DOD (date of death) for Deputy Drinkwater will be Tuesday June 9th.
Cowboy chow (and dietary specific chow) will be provided by the Social Committee using funds from our budget. There will be no cost to the members. No need to bring anything except your drink of choice.
We ask that everyone Register for the event as soon as possible so we can figure out characters and food quantities.
And remember the old cowboy saying.... "Always drink upstream from the herd" The Social Committee
