Good afternoon fellow Rotarians The Rotary Trail Committee is holding a photo contest for the next 5 weeks. Take a photo of nature, a selfie, a trail picture, animals, etc., while using the Strathroy Rotary Memorial Trail and have a chance to win $100. This is a social media contest. So, your photos need to be uploaded to Instagram or Facebook and you must tag our Rotary club to be entered into the contest. If you have a private account, no problem. Just simply direct message the photo to our Rotary page so we know you want to be entered. Dont have social media but still want to participate? Email me jill@dennings.ca and I can upload your photo for you. Our hope is that we get people active, using our trails, and maybe gain some new members. Lets inspire the community to get outside and use our trails over the next 5 weeks. (Disclaimer- this is not only for club members. Anyone who participates has a opportunity to win the $100) Questions can be directed to the trail committee, Art Kaster or Brooke Earley with PR. |

Dec. 22, 2020 - Feb. 20, 2021
The Rotary Club of Strathroy is supporting the annual Coldest Night of the Year event. This years event will be held on February 20, 2021 and is a national fundraising event to raise awareness of and support homelessness initiatives across Canada. Rotary Clubs in Canada have played an important role in this initiative and have been consistently in the top tier of donor groups nationally. Funds raised by individuals or groups are used by local charities and this year, the local beneficiary is the "37 Frank Youth Center" facilty run by YFC (Youth for Christ) Strathroy. Earlier this year, David Berdan made a presentation to our club about 37 Frank and the need for such a facility in our town. This event is designed to raise funds for the 37 Frank facilty and its ongoing needs. Participants in the event on February 20, 2021 can do so in numerours ways, from walking in a designated route downtown with your group, walking with larger griups at a location to be announced later (such as the Gemini, etc) or simply a walk around your living room. Participants are invited to request donations in support of their participation. Participants will establish a TEAM or join a TEAM via the Website of COLDEST NIGHT of THE YEAR.
