Congratulations Michael Pascoe!

Most often the recipient is a member within the club, but this year’s winner is a resident of Strathroy.
Michael has been a supporter and friend of Rotary for many years.  He has proven his support through the Youth Exchange Program having hosted 3 young men over the years - Gui from Brazil, Min from Thailand and Gustas from Lithuania.  As a club we deeply appreciate all of our host families, but we especially recognize Michael for "going beyond the call of duty" by continuing to host during Covid-19.  The challenge was keeping Gustas engaged and learning/experiencing new things with out the help of school, friends, Rotarians, and other Inbound Students .    Michael and Gustas will both say they had a positive experience and bonded very well through lockdown.

Thank you again Michael!

We scheduled the Award presentation at the same time as the Cuddy Botanical Garden Tour in order to keep the award a surprise!

What is a Paul Harris Award?

To recognize a significant contribution to Rotary or to the Community, the Club can donate $1,000 USD to the Rotary Foundation on behalf of the nominee, which entitles the nominee/recipient to be called a Paul Harris Fellow.

The recipient is presented with a Paul Harris lapel badge, and a certificate.  The recipient’s recognition as a Paul Harris Fellow is a significant occasion for the Club, and the recognition is presented with due ceremony.
